tank mates for senegal bichir

i going to get it into a 46 gallon in like 3 month or less i need a LIST of the tank mates already have a ropefish thank
i dont want any boring ones just awesome ones

don't you think 46 gal is too small for a senegal and ropefish?you should make bigger tank first and then you can add other fish.if you already upgrade your tank,you can try synodontis or medium size armored catfish

I've kept my Sen with a ton of different tank mates over the decade I've kept him: false gars (needle nose, ect), tinfoil barbs, sleeper goby, oscar, loaches, and currently knife fish (brown and golden), and a scomb.

The only things that HAVEN'T worked with my bichir were:
1. fish small enough to fit in his mouth..... I've lost many small to medium sized tetras to this fish
2. Plecos - I only kept him with one, and it started sucking off his slime coat

Get MORE BICHIRS! Red wolves can work. i have one with my 3 bichirs. They can get aggresive though.

Once mine hit a foot long I kept it with my 4-6" cichlids as population control.

there are quite a lot of armored catfish species,for example platydoras,agamyxis,ambylodoras,acanthodoras which grow 10-22 cm,if you want some monster,you can try oxydoras and megalodoras which can grow over 70 cm long.as for red wolf,seriously fish website said the minimum tank to house one is 108 l or 28,6 gal tank
