not regarding tank size what would be some good tankmates for a 6.5 inch vieja bifaciatus????

Tank size is needed for answer however, in a big enough tank, many options exist with other central American cichlids of similar aggression

It depends, what other cichlids do you like? Avoid other viejas, and try with other aggressive, similarly sized fish that is dissimilar in appearance

most ca/sa chiclids appeal to me dont know much about them but what about a festea or have u guys got any other better ideas ???

Mayan Cichlid are nice looking fish, and seem to be fairly common, at least around here.
Golden Mojarra are impressive, but I've only seen pics.

i have never actually seen any Mayan chiclids in England which is a shame because they are beautiful fish!!!!

Golden Mojarra are wicked but like you i have only ever seen pics

I've had my bifa with a smaller flowerhorn and a paraneetroplus gibbiceps in a 55 gallon for over six months now. They get along pretty well. Every now and then, my bifa will chase the flowerhorn around for a bit, but nothing serious. He likes to show him who's boss... I'm planning on upgrading to at least a 125 gallon soon since they're all growing pretty quick.
