I have a 6ft. 125g and I'm trying to figure out what I want to stock it with. Current stock is 1 dozen silver dollars, 1 L-264 pleco and a small lima shovelnose catfish.

The most recent idea I'm toying with is getting a small group (3-5) of juvenile EBJDs. Would I be able to add any green terrors to the mix? Or should I not risk the green terrors harassing the EBJDs (as they are already sensitive fish I read).

edit: Also, if I did get the 3-5 EBJD, can a regular JD be added to the mix? Or is it best to go either all regular JD or all EBJD?

I've been searching jack dempsey threads lately but haven't seen much info if these fish are compatible tank mates.

Thanks for any input.

Are you gonna breed the EBJDs? Cause if so I would stick with those juvies till you get a pair. If it is just for fun then I think a normal Jack will be fine in there.

From my experience GTs seem to be more aggressive than JDs, at least when they are younger and the GTs could decide to beat the EBJDs down. As you know EBJDs are more frail than regular JDs and so I personally would not add any GTs at least until they are older and you can guage their personalities.

A regular jack should be fine. You will need a regular jack if you plan to breed more EBJDs.

Just for fun :D Was wanting EBJDs for their blue coloration (obviously) but also maybe a GT (or regular JD) or two for variety's sake...

So its probably best to only get EBJDs and give them a couple months to settle in/grow before I try adding GT(s) or regular JD(s)?
