I have a 100 gallon and 55 gallon, Africans and South Americans.
Just purchased 15 of them and threw them in the 100 gallon tank. They seem to be doing good, but my tank is very full, 55 gallon not. Here is how I am thinking of setting them up. Please let me know if you think this will be okay.
55 gallon:

Adult Bumblebee 5"
Adult Electric Yellow 4"
Adult Electric Blue 4"
5 juvenile female peacocks 2"
Adult male Maylandia Greshakei 6"
Adult Placidochromis Electra 6"
unknown adult "calico" 5" (African??)
2) 2-3" Gourami's

100 gallon:
11" Tiger Oscar
2) Adult Jack Dempsey's (Males???) 5"
1) Blood Parrot 7"
Breeding pair of Green Terrors 5"
breeding pair of convicts 3-4"
juvenile female convict 2"
2 female Jaguars 5"
1 female Jauguar 10"

it sounds ok to me, typically people like to keep africans with africans and S.A.'s with S.A.'s, but i have them mixed and they do fine. But if you want to separate for space and because the water is getting dirty than yes the pairs sound fine to me. I'd just keep an eye on the breeding pairs, the may start fighting over territories, and in that case i'd use plants and caves to mark territories. Jack dempsys have quite a rep along with jags. But like anything just keep an eye on it.

I would be concerned about the Gouramis in with Africans of that size. Is the Bumblebee the dominate male? Those tanks sounds heavily stocked. What kind of filtration do you have?

On the "calico" fish, do you have pictures? Could it be an OB Zebra?

I agree on the gouarmis. As for the 100gal hope you have a lot of filtration and if they breed be prepared they will get nasty I ve owned both breeding JD's and Jags and they are not nice (had a few other tank mates also) and what I had was in 180gal tank, a 100gal sounds a bit small for all of those fish, imo. I would make sure you have really good filtration on both those tanks. Make sure in the African tank you get a lot of rocks for territory and hiding spots otherwise you will end up with fights over space, etc. Also generally its better to keep Mbuna with Mbuna and non Mubuna with non Mbuna. Mbuna can be agressive.
