i have a australian short neck murray river turtle, hes small only about 2-3 inch diameter shell, he has a few shrimp in his tank, he doesnt even know they are in there, been in there for about 4 months now, and want something a little more active in there, i was thinking a spiney eel (peacock) or something, archer fish perhaps but im not sure,
does anyone have any ideas?

i believe archer fish is a brackish fish so it may not be a good idea to put into freshwater. But if you want active fish try to get any fast schooling fish fish (i.e. Red hooks, Silver dollars, tetras, barbs) this of course depends on the tank size you have.

Could you give us a tank size so we have an idea of what to put in. I wouldn't recommend a slow moving fish like an eel because the turtle will start to munch on him.
