depending on size of fish and tank maybe it will be okay for a lil bit, but eventually? that gar will be snacking on its tankmates...
I agree.. Your best off not keeping the fish with anything,unless the tank mate is actually larger than the gator gar.Even with that size tank mate,you could still readily have the gator gar attack it.
what is the min size tank i should use for the 1 gar ..and can i tank 2 gars together without them killing each other eventually?
they wont kill each other unless one is much bigger than the other.
dont get one unless you have a giant tank,pond.
theres one in the pond with tons of other fish.
other fish will be eaten.
a pacu could work.
since they get so big so quickly.

Well spotted gars dont kill each other.. I have my 15" gar with my 8-10" spotted gar..with no probs at all..
