my FH is going in to a new 20g tank and i was thinking about puting something new in there with him. he has never had tankmates befor and is highly agresive he is about 5" so what could i put in with him

I have a red parrot in with my fh and i want the red parrot out since it's too aggresive towards the fh but then again they're only 2-3 inch i would say it's possible but you might have try different fishes good luck though

my hybrid which looks like an RD molting though, and was less than an inch had killed all the mollies and danios that were there in the tank overnight she might have eaten a few too

Maybe try some bichers my flowerhorn leaves the bichers alone... Or you could also try other agrresive cichlids. But thats always a risk that they will pick on the flower horn.

i had to take my 2 bichir out fh was trying to eat them lol. i was thinking about trying a terror how do you think that would work

i have two GTs in my bichir and gar tank along with an oscar
all are of the same size
no problem other than the two GTs having a go at each other once in a while

Wait what? A 5 inch flowerhorn will kill anything in a 20 gallon. If its female you might have more of a chance, but there is no way that a 5 inch flowerhorn would live harmoniously with any other feasable fish in a 20. Maybe a 55 and then i would say a huge pleco if you have the filtration.

A green terror would get murdered in no time. Green terrors don't have the bulk or the jaw structure to compete with a flowerhorn, especially at their juvenile state. You do know how big flowerhorns get don't you? You are going to need at least a 55 (recommended 75) gallon tank with NO tankmates.

Mines almost 2 years old and he attacks rocks, plants, filters, heaters, wood, sponges, and most of all fish. He lives in a 75 by himself. There is no way I would even consider adding another fish.

ok sounds good and yes i know how big he will get and as he grows he is being moved to biger tanks.
