just got back from lfs and seen a pink tailed chalseus. anyone try keeping these with rays? i also have a small bgk in the tank too.

I think I've seen it done before.
Just be carefull, chalceus can be agressive sometimes.
Personally I would just try it, keep a divider or net near by if any trouble arises.

thanks. it was in with a bunch of gouramis and looked pretty docile, but....... lol. maybe i should stick with original plan and get some discus. always wanted to try them. thanks again

Well, Chalceus get pretty big bro. 10'' sometimes bigger.
Depending on your tank size you could get a school of 8(None less than 8 is what I've heard)

They should work well together. I had a pink tail for many years. He was 9 inches when he passed. I don't think I ever saw him drop any deeper than 6 inches from the top of the water. The only way a ray could get one is to pin it to the bottom, but chalseus are extremely fast.

rays can catch and kill some quicl fish....
