i was hoping can anyone tell me wat kind of fish should i put in my bichir tank cuz the top of the tank looks so boring i hav 1 deh 1 end 1 orante 2 sen in my 40 gallons will try to post pics later

arowana but not jardini, spotted gar, CK,..I tried those before they work just fine but I ended up with bichirs tank only, cause I prefer having them alone so that they can have enough meal without tankmates bothering them when eating. But those that I mentioned are the combination most people have, take a look at this forum, there are many post about similar topic. And you will need to upgrade if you want those fishes that I mentioned. Just remember any fish that are small enough to fit in your bichirs mouth will be gone in no time if you ever try to mix them.

I agree, those are really big fish for a 40 gallon tank. You already have some issues with the ornate and the endli taking up a lot of space when they get older.

get a 300 gal tank and you'll be happy forever..

If you do upgrade, Arowana's are a case by case basis........

These have been together since the Jar and Endli's were 6"'s, They're all around 12-13" now.

Tank is way to small for endli and ornate in the future unless you're planning on stunting them.

As for the tank mates go with gouramis or some species of climbing perch. Maybe a bronze asian knifefish if you want a primitive knifefish.

gouramis would be cool, i've kept mine with gouramis in my growout and a blood parrot hybrid.
