Tank mates

I have in my possession a red snakehead and at the minute he is on his own which I know is for the best other than the feeders he gets! Is there any possibility that I could put in a pleco with him as they aren't too lively and challenging

Hi,with a redline snakehead,any fish is at risk but it might be possible,how big is your snakehead?

agreed with gigas, size of the micro matters

i'd suggest putting the micro with a pleco 2x bigger if not more than itself so it will get used to tankmates in general although i personally wouldn't mix any fish with micros

We have a 20cm pleco in our tank with our 2ft micro. The pleco comes up and plays with the micro by "sailing" into him and nudging his tummy. Often the micro can be found lying on top of the pleco lol. They've lived together for over a year very happily.

NB: The pleco was in the tank BEFORE the micro. I wouldn't dare attempt to remove the pleco and put him back in just to "see what happens"!
