i have had my fish in a 40 gal breeder since aug. 2. 8-9 tiger oscars, 2. 6-7 elecrtic blue cichlids, 2. 4-5 jack dempseys 1. 8-9 pleco i just bought a 125 gal 6ft long tank. building the stand now. i want to put a few more fish in the 125 gal that would easily get along with my current fish.

I think you are fully stocked already.
Not neccesarily, he could put a con, or a firemouth, or even an acara . All those fish get to about 6'' and that'd be fine imo

2 x Tiger Oscars 8-9"
2 x Electric Blue Cichlid 6-7" (Fryeri correct? and not EBJD?)
2 x JDs 4-5"
1 x Pleco 8-9" (What type of pleco? Common?)

You're pretty stocked there with a very heavy bio load between the two Oscars and the Pleco (specially if it's a common)

Nevermind this post i didn't see you had the 2 jd also

sorry

the electric blue cichlids might stay in the 40 gal because they have been showing a lot of breeding behavior. and they jack dempseys might go back to the lfs. i like them but ive had them for several months and their fins have a lot of splits in them. when i got them the store owner said they should heal in a few weeks and never did. the oscars and the pleco are definitely going in the 125 looking for maybee 1-2 larger fish that might get along easily and be fun to keep.

Honestly, 2 Oscars and a Common Pleco is about right for a 125g.

And you'll still need to invest in some heavy duty filters.

I wouldn't place anymore large cichlids in your 125 with two Oscars and a large pleco. You could add a few smaller cichlids but no more big boys.
