Hello all - I am looking for some good tank mates for my angel fish. I purchased 3 today, and they are currently in a tank with a blue channel cat, 3 columbian sharks and an algae eater. They are all housed in a 30 gallon tank. The oldest fish are my sharks and the cat (have had them for 1 month), and I plan on moving the cat to a MUCH larger tank, and the sharks to a brackish tank, leaving my angels virtual mateless. Any good suggestions?

first get a bigger tank and more angels. 3 angels are not a "safe number" and 3 in a 30g is not a good idea.
secondly move the channel out now. they like cold water angels likes em warmer.
also move the shark out now. like you said they need brackish water.
they longer you leave a fish in water conditions it does not belong in the worse it is on its health.
some good tankmates for angels are most kinds of tetras (they will love neon. its what they eat in the wild). avoid barbs as most are fin nippers and you will likely see your angels fins nipped

moving is certainly on my list of things to do. money is tight right now with the holidays coming up, but by the first of the year I should be able to get the cat in its own tank, the angel's into a bigger tank, and the sharks setup in a brackish tank.
