Redbelly and Caribe have been proven to mix. Personally I would not try it.

Yes I would personally.

That looks like a serrasalmus spilopleura or a serrasalmus serrulatus but it definitely is some sort of a serrasalmus.

And with it being a Serrasalmus, tank mates are out of the question. They are very aggressive.
You can try dithers (tetras) or a pleco some people have tried and had it work, others have tried and failed. I think it's a ticking time bomb and not something I would do.

OK that's all I'm trying to figure out if he should be kept in a small group or solo

Like I said in your other thread it's a spilo/Mac. You can cohab if you have like a 400-500g tank. Otherwise they are solitary.

No I know macs shouldn't be housed together, just wasn't positive on what type I had
