I bought a 180 gallon glass tank at a great deal last month...well it was a great deal untill water started rushing out the bottom of the tank. I am in the process of resealing the tank now and I need to replace the molding. Does anyone know of a supplier for tank molding?

I bought this tank as used from a LFS who failed to tell me the seal was faulty. My fault for assuming that the fish tank held water. Went to two LFS to find molding replacement. One told me it cant be replaced and once the silicone is ruptured the tank is unfixable and I should buy a new aquarium (of course he would give me a greatdeal on it). Other pet shop told me for the low, low price of $200 he would fix my tank (he also began to explain to me the high level of specialty tools and expertise needed to re-seal an aquarium, didn't know a caulking gun and razor blade qualified as a specialty tool). My favorite LFS used to carry them but Aquarium Imports closed 10 years ago and I have yet to find a LFS I trust since then. So, if anyone knows of any source thru mail order please let me know

It is not needed to make it structuraly sound, but it is needed astetically. It is the little things in life that makes me smile

Go to lowes and get yourself some 1x1/2 " oak or birch strips, miter cut them, predrill and nail with some small brads (use a good glue) then give a good stain, you'll get this....

How about one done in stainless steel or diamond plate? There's a black diamond plate out now that would look pretty slick.
