Tank outside...Purchase?

I might be buying a tank that has been outside. Dont know how long yet. What are some things to worry about with this. Here is the CL Posting

check the silicone seals to make sure they are not dried out

i think its fine. i bought a 55 that was outside for ages. hasnt busted yet haha.

check the silicon and make sure to level it Odell's are usually older tanks I have an Odell 40 that works fine so you should be ok

It isnt a big deal to reseal it if necessary right?

The glass will be fine, Just check the silicone, and even if its a little dry rotted you can reseal it. Thats a bad*ss tank.

go get it, even if it needs new silicone.......just means more fun!

tanks can have silicone falling off, dried out, etc and still hold water, i've seen it. Although I'd never use one like that myself, just reseal it!
