i have a question about where i want to put my aquarium. right now my 180 is up against a wall in my dining room that is about 7 feet long. im wanting to upgrade to a tank that is atleast 8 feet long and the only spacein my house this tank will fit is up against another wall in my dining room, but the problem is there is a window on this wall. is this going to be a problem? i never open the window and the seal in the window is fine and i have wood blinds i keep down all the time. and another question i have since im on here is when i go to setup my new tank and i put my gravel from my old tank into my new tank and fill it up, will it be alright for fish right away or will i need to let it cycle. im not sure bc i know the gravel has bacteria and all that good stuff but im switching from canister filters to a sump. so i just want to make sure i have all my ducks in a row before makeing this big move. im wanting to bulid a 8' X 3' X 2, do you think this will be big enough for a male motoro and maybe a hystix in the future. like always any help is appreciated.

The only problem the window might pose is the cold air coming from it in the winter time. May seal it with plastic before putting the tank in place. Same gravel will be fine. Keep the canisters on it until the sump filter is cycled...but the more filteration, the better. 8x3 should be fine for a male Motoro.
