Haven't gone to see it yet, but $525 seems like a pretty good deal for a used 200+ gallon tank with filters, gravel and a heater. Assuming there are no leaks and only one mark (as mentioned by the owner), would you agree?

Offer him $450. He sounds like he's negotiable with the price not being an even 100..........

In my area large tanks (over 125g) are kind of hard to come by. I got my 210g with stand and glass tops for $500, it had no other accessories. But it was also never used and still had the pet store price tags on it.

So the price seems fair to me, but it wouldn't hurt to ask for a price break.

500 sounds like a good deal, at least in my area. if you think its worth it then get it

Offered 450 but he was firm with 525 - he was originally asking 750 and then 625, I only made a move when it came down to closer to 500. He also agreed to move it though, so I was good with 525. It's a pretty old Oceanic (allegedly) - 7 by 2 by 2 measurements - still had water in it, so no leaks. Have to figure out what I'm going to do for lighting with those dimensions.

Get some flourescent light set ups from Lowe's or Home Depot.
