Thinking about buying both, putting them over/under on a single stand, and keeping an African and South American lungfish in one, and either a school of geo's in the other, or use it as a stingray growout tank...
Well, I'm seriously thinking about buying both of them once my tax return clears. I'm also thinking that what I would do, since they're both drilled but without overflows, is directly plumb them to canister filters. I was thinking of buying a pair of Ehiem 2217's, and running one on each tank.
The first tank will be for my geo's (6 brasiliensis, 3 jurapari, and possibly 2 dicrozoster or surinamensis (planning on picking up from the LFS today, if they're still there. They're not sure on the ID). None of these guys are over 4" yet, and most are under 3".
The second tank will probably house a Spotted African Lungfish and a South American lungfish, each between 12-18" in length.
Does everyone think those setups will work? Is that enough filtration considering the stock? I can always add a HOB or another canister if I need to.
