so i got a 29 gallon tank last night for 20 bucks. the tank had black paint on the outside of it and on the inside of the tank it has silcone marks threw it with like a styrofoam thanks on top of it. i belive it used to be some kind of old filteration unit. so i am taking a razer blade and taking all of the paint off the inside of the tank and taking that silcone stuff off the inside of it. the silcone still is down every corner of the tank and when i try taking it off the orgianl silcone came off the corners of the tank too. should i reseal the inside of my tank or not. would it be alright to leave that stuff on the bottom of the tank or not. please help i would like to get this tank up and running soon

Leaving the silicone will be fine, but you could remove all of the silicone and reseal. The choice is yours.
ok i think thats what i am going to do. the tank is a mess whats the best way to clean out a tank
