Well in the title the Q is my Q and your A :evil_lol:

Well any way i want to ask which is cheaper acrylic or glass for maybe 1/2 or so?!

What are some silicone chaulk i can pick up at a local home dopt or lowes that is fish safe?!?

And here is the noob question:screwy: :WHOA: i have been reading the threads and seems that curing is just leaving it in water for a while and changing the water every couple of days right?!?

glass is definately cheaper.
i have been wondering about caulks and such myself.
and i think curing is just leaving a new tank running for a day or two before you start adding fish for cycling.
hope this helps

When I was resealing a tank, it seems I could never find any that said it was aquarium safe butwas able to find ones that said "not for use in aquariums" so I ended up going with the AGA brand in the link: http://www.petsolutions.com/Silicone+I15965003.aspx

ge silicone 1 is fish safe
it won't say so on the tube but it is the same thing marineland uses to build there tanks

glass is cheaper by far

and if you are talking about the silicone curing then that just means to let it setup till dry

hope this helps
mike

CURING is letting the tank stand empty while the silicone "dries". Give it 24-48 hours to fully cure before adding water. Some silicones say 72 hours but you will know it is fully cured when it no longer has a vinigar smell.
