Hi all

I have a few questions about a new tank I am looking at getting custom built.

The dimensions are as follows L:118 W:39 H:39 all in inches. I have attached a rough picture of the idea I have, the blue circles will be the drain holes for the filtration and the red hole will be for water changes (50%). Tank worked out to be about 650 gallons. I am planning on sump filtration. I have gone of the flow chart in the DIY section "1.25=15.6 = 937.5" so that would mean that if I have 10 holes at 1.25" that would mean that the flow should add up to 9375 gallons per hour?

Now my questions are
1. Will 12mm glass thickness be enough?
2. Will the filter holes be too many?
3. With the weight of the water, how would that affect the flow through filter holes?
4. Would the 1.25" filtration holes cause too strong flow through the filter holes? ie. suck substrate in or get fishes stuck?
5. What would be a good hight from the bottom of the tank for the filter holes?
6. Any body got any ideas about pipework for tank?

Have attached a second picture of a rough idea.

7.Would I be able to connect all then pipes to one big pipe that leads to the sump?
8. What size would the pipe have to be?
9. What precautions is there that I can take for safety. ie. Pump failure or sump breakage? because the location of the holes the tank would just empty

I want to get some ideas and info before contacting the custom builder, just want to be sure I know what I want before I get there.

Any other advice or comments would be greatly appreciated
