Whats the growth rate of a Jardini? The one I'm thinking about purchasing is 9 -10" currently.... I have a couple of tanks I could put him in by himself.... a std 125 (72"x18") or a 110G (48" x 24") or a 150G (48"x24").. How long would it be before I would have to move him into a bigger tank? I have a couple of bigger tanks however they are full and not species compatible with a jardini currently..

Save yourself the trouble, just go with a 180G (6x2x2 foot) foot print as that is the bare minimum size tank to keep one for life.

Thank you for the reply however that's not an option at the moment.

The 110 ,125, 150 are the only in house tanks I have running that are currently open. All my larger tanks are full, I was looking to get an idea of how long I could keep him in a smaller tank.

You could keep him in the 150 for a while.. But expect growth of an 1-2" a month, with 2.5" being a possibility. You could always sell your smaller set ups to get a bigger set up.

Thanks so based upon 2" a month , in a 24" wide tank . Id have 7-8 months before he be looking cramped.. that will give me time to move some stock around and free up a larger set up.:naughty:

I wouldn't push it that far.. Once he gets to about 20" it will looked kinda cramped. Don't plan with that mindset, try to get a larger tank the soonest you can.
