I got a tank from someone that has been sitting in his shed for a couple weeks in the cold. Do you think that the cold and temp changes would have affected to seals? If so is there anything i can do?

Fill er up.:) That will be the easiest way to tell if it leaks. Unless you obviously see the silicone just peeling off or missing. I would recommend doing this outdoors if possible, it's no good having a 55 leaking in your house and you can't move it until it's all drained.

fill it up and see i usually preserve mines during storage with Vaseline

Is silicone able to handle the expanding and contracting of temp changes? Should i even really worry about it?

in my opinion a couple weeks meaning 1-2 weeks it shouldn't hurt the sealant on the tank you should be fine

Its been closer to 2-3 weeks. Im in Pennsylvania and the temps have been pretty low with some warmer days here and there.
