im getting my KK from Take5 tmw and was wondering if a tall 65 gallon would be better to groom him in over a 55 gallon long?

I would use the 65. the greater front to back depth would be better long term

Use a bulkhead then cap off to seal.

If ur take5 is less than 4inches, do the 55 first. Put a divider then use half of it for grooming. The big tank will stress it out. Then gradually move the divider to make it wide. Fish from VN nd thai are groomed or was raised on small tank. Putting ur priced flowerhorn on a big tank on a start might strees them. Jus an opinion.

I have a partitioned 55 right now. He’ll be sharing it with my SRD. I was thinking long term

Thats good for now and if it gets bigger u can move ur srd to the 65 and leave the take5 at 55.

If hes less than 3 inches 65 is going to be pretty big. I have my guy in a 40 atm. let me get you the dimensions I was given by a breeder.
