I have a 125 in need of some plastic repair and a glass top.

Is it just as simple as going to the local fish supplier buying new plastic and use silicone to put it on or is it more complicated then that? Just a brief description would be of great help. Also what type of glass should i use to make the top? And could i just go pick it up at like depot? or do i need special glass? it doesnt have to be super fancy just keep the evap down and the fish in.

That is pretty much all that's involved in replacing top frames. It is a bit of work to get the old one off though.

For lids, all you need is 1/4" plate glass purchased at any local glass shop or hardware store.

Great help i really appreciate it.

I found my glass at a local glass shop here. Make sure you measure good and take off about a 1/16" from your side to side measurement. Only cost $70 bucks for 3 23.5"x9" and 3 23.5"x4.25" pieces of glass.
