Not as big of a chain as Petco but Pet Supplies Plus is currently running a BIG tank sale. I just picked up two 20 gallon longs & six 10 gallon tanks for $117 bucks including tax. The 10's were $9.98 and 20's $24. They also have 40 breeders, 20 high, 55's etc. on sale. According to the owner they will be running this sale every other month as opposed to the quarterly sale Petco does.
