Im looking to redo my inside silicone. Not the outside seal but the inside. I kind of dont want to pill it off and redo it. Can anyone give a name of someone that will so it for me? Trusted. California oc area.

Hmm that sounded and looked easy. It's a 240g tank tho. I guess I can pull out a backup tank for my aro.

As long as you fallow the instructions it will an easy job. The longest part is waiting two days for it to cure.

All you need is a razor blade, time and sealant and you are good to go. I resealed tons of tanks, yes it gets old after a while but its easy to do. I've done a 400gallon and it actually wasn't that bad. if you can get the razor blade to but straight down without nicking it into pieces it actually peels off nicely (depends a lot on the silicone too)..

My tank (maybe 7yrs old) isn't leaking but after one trip out of town I notice it had lots of air bubbles under the seal... th is caused algae to form under it. Im guessing they popped some how. I was able to kill most of it but now im left with air pockets. Also if I might feel a little untrusted in removing those seals. Can I put a strap around the tank? I also want to redo the center brace

Sounds like your best bet would be to take it completely apart

Im just going to do the inside no longer the top. But the strap might make me feel a little safer cuz it's a big tank.

You might be better off using painters tape or black tape.
