As the title says i just set this tank up. It was test filled before hand. I noticed these white line marks on where the glass panels meet. I'm kinda hoping it was just because the glass was a bit dirty before the silicone was applied. You guys think it is something serious? The tank is 2 days old kinda freaked out don't want a huge mess in my basement and i lost some sleep last night thinking about it so i need some peace of mind.

I wouldn't be concerned about it, but since you have a picture, you can keep an eye on it and compare.

Looks like a normal sealant line to me. Make sure the seals aren't wearing away but I think you're okay. But I'm a novice at this.

I bought a used fish tank once and right after I filled it the top plastic center brace snapped and broke right off, the front glass bowed way out...not a good feeling. Needless to say I ended up buying a NEW tank.

Thanks a lot for the quick replies guys i feel a lot better now. Never seen this b4 so was wondering.

Pics taken and the glass marked with a sharpie to monitor it. Got my fingers crossed.

My LFS had this 8' tank with a ton of bubbles in the seams. I was afraid to walk in front of it for fear it would explode. Well it sat there for over five years with no problem (they since turned the fish room into a dog food area).

Here is a picture of the tank I took for a friend who was interested in KOI. You can see some of the large white spots on the left seam. I remember the right side was worse, but you can't see that in the picture.

Interesting thanks vfc. I guess i was just a little paranoid that's all. I've only owned 4 tanks in my life and can't recall seeing something like this. Maybe i never noticed it and the other tanks were similar i don't know. I've asked friends in the hobby as well and they have told me the same to not worry about it, that it is normal. My biggest fear is an aquarium bursting that is of significant size, ruining my floors and my 56" inch hdtv. What a mess that would be.
