Okay here is the deal....I have a 30g and i donno quite how to set it up. I have four fancy goldfish, I donno were to get a good oriment and what planst would look good with what. Got any idea, and any places to go besides petco and petsmart os is that it?

sell it and buy a 180 and get some MONSTERS!!

haha. id say 86 the goldfish and make a small planted with a few german rams. thats what i would do since there are not to many fish that are interesting and can be kept in such a small space.

Get get some natural looking gravel, plastic plants (goldfish will eat real ones), some rocks, and maybe a pot or driftwood. I like the natural look. I think it's the best IMO.

You might get more responses if you post this in the general aquarium discussion forum.

As for my input, I suggest getting a bigger tank :)

With the one you've got though, definitely get some fake plants, or maybe a piece of driftwood. You're best bet would be petsmart, unless you want to order online for your tank. If so, I'll come back with a list of sites.

I agree with this.. I was at a friends house and he had a tank with some German Rams and man... those suckers are awesome! Tiny little fish with great colors. Nice plants, some rocks and you a cool little tank.

Who says goldfish eat aal plants? Mine are quite tolerant of vallisneria (and it grows fast enough to make up for the occasional nipping). However, roots of floating plants are a treat ...

But I agree, go natural. I have a 10 gal which I use to bring my goldies thru the Winter before they return to their pond. Plants, driftwood, sand (they love it), and good filtration!

And: Welcome to MFK!

Keep it natural, Wal-mart has things people here have used in their tanks, and get a good filtration system , 4 of those suckers in that tank will get messy fast!
