I'm getting another tank tonight that's 75 gallons my question is this I have a 40 bow front and the fish in that are going into the 75
So can I just siphon the water into the 75 use the same substrate add an extra 35 gallons treat with water conditioner put the same 2 filter on the 75 and add the fish tonight they are discus and Cory cats

No need to use water. But yes, it will be fine.

nice tank. also what kind of discus is in you avatar? ive never seen one before.

Thanks I added some plants to it just to add a little more decor and he's a golden albino currently I have 2 but they are my favorite discus and when ever I can find them I buy the whole lot but I don't come across them very often one is actually starting to get some deep orange in the yellow where as my other one is more yellow almost the same color as a saltwater tang but I notice he is starting to get more spotting threw his body so it's been cool watching them transition into adulthood they are great fish and have amazing colors

Well not to sure to be honest about that but my tanks have both been running for 5 to 10 years between all my tanks so even though the tank was new the substrate and filter was the same and moved right over and started up so all bb made it so really the only thing that changed for them was they got more space and they got a little bit bigger water change because the tank is bigger so they all are doing great and ate within minutes of being in the tank like nothing changed discus arnt as hard to keep as people make them out to be I treat them no different then my cichlids lol I had one jump out of the tank hit the window behind the tank then hit the window sill, then drop another 3 feet and hit the cement floor the fish was covered in dust scratched up horrible and I just picked him up threw him back in the tank with a little stress coat and he was perfectly fine they arnt sensitive like people make them out to be however if you have wild discus then those can be more sensitive and require a little more care but still perfectly doable
