Tank setup

I wanted to see if i could replace the gravel in my tank with sand? It used to be a community tank so it has blue gravel in it but i wanted to put sand instead. Would it be okay to do this?

In the tank now is an Oscar, Red Devil, 3 Tiger Barbs, 1 Black Phantom Tetra and 2 Plecos. would switching them out cause the fish to stress way out or would they be fine if i moved them into a different tank while i switched the gravel?

you could switch it if you want just make sure to seed your new sand with the old stuff. it might be bit stressful but i dont think they will die from it

Buy some $3 buckets from Home Depot, make the switch-er-roo, and put them back.

Not a huge job.
