i am new to the puffer thing what would i have to do to have a brackish tank so i can have puffers:nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly::popcorn:

ok i was going to set up a ten cause i have a empty one that i want to stock but is there anything special i would have to do to the water?

if you do dwarf puffers no, they are freshwater. Now if your wanting to do the figure 8 or leopard puffers you just need to add marine salt to the tank and get a hydrometer to test your salinity levels.

A 10 gallon tank can really only hold dwarf puffers for life. The Figure 8s and GSP will all aout gorw the tank.

The most important thing to remember about puffers is water quality. Their skin is very sensitive and they do not do well in tanks with poor to okay filtration.

Bracksih is not difficult and there are plenty of good write ups on here. Just remmeber to mix the salt before adding to the tank.

cool cool i think i am goin g to go with the dwarfs
