I was just wondering if GE I is acceptable to use to reseal a tank and if it is safe for the fish ?

I recommend you purchase a tile tool. It gives you a nice edge finish and even silicone all the way around

I used one of these tools to spread my silicone. I also used GE 1 silicone.
