i know most 135-150g can or do have this footprint. i'm having trouble figuring out if there's anything closer to the 180g mark for these dimensions. all the 180's i've found listed, are 72x24x... if anyone has any insight, i'd appreciate it!

y not go for a deeper tank? its better for monsters

72x18 stand and hood already on hand. looking to expand from a 150g 48x24x31.5 to something in the 72" range. i have peacocks in this set-up, and would like more length instead of height. if i could find something in the 72x18x30 range, i'd be good cause although i'd still be 30 high, i'd now have 2 extra feet in length... i think that makes sense... right?:screwy:

one thing that you have to be aware of with this sized tank is that you will notice that the actual volumes that the manufacturer's are calling the tanks are not accurate, and you may end up paying 'more' for a tank that is actually the same size.

eg.

Aqueon's 72x18x29 is labelled at 150 galloins
Glasscages 72x18 by 31 is labelled 180 gallons (!!!)

that two extra inches does NOT give you an extra 30 gallons of water...

what the label says has nothing to do with the volume of the tank in these cases, so be careful...
