Tank Size and divisions

Hi,

So here is my dilemma....

I have a 4x2x18 tank, I have just bought 2 new fh, but my tank has Americans in it already.

I was going to put in 2 dividers for my fh, giving each one 1x2x18 and the rest of the fish 2x2x18.

I'll going to be selling off a few of the fish i have now, so they aren't crowded in the 2x2x18.

Is the 1x2x18 sufficient for the flowerhorn?

It would depend on the size of the fish. Also I would recommend quarantining the new fish before you add them with other fish
