what size tank would 2 oscars be ok in I have them in a 55 gallon right now theyre 3 inches I do water changes every 3 days. I have had 2 oscars in a 55 in the past get 10 inches before I gave them to a friend and they were perfectly fine I had no trouble with water condition I did water changes every 3 days. I changed 50 percent of water at a time.

they will be ok in your 55 until they get bigger, then id upgrade. comfortable size would be 120, Bare Minimum size would be 75.

A 55 gallon tank is no good because they will have a really tough time turning in a tank with a width of only 12", even if your waterconditions stay good.

I would think a 125g would be ideal. That would give you 6 ft of swimming room and a little added width for turning. I certainly don't recommend keeping oscars in a 55g, but if you can keep up those water changes and keep it clean then they will be fine. I'm sure they would enjoy more swimming room for a lifetime home though.

I'd go with a 5' tank, but something like a 75 could definitely work if the water changes are large and very frequent

Its a territorial thing too.. Oscars are very territorial.. They also get very round like a football and need more room.. 75 min but bigger is always better lol

like everyone has said...I really dont suggest 4ft tanks for cichlids that grow over 8-10inches...a nice 6ft tank would be great for your oscars...they would be happy and most of all you would feel better about the way you take care of your fish.... go on craigslist.com you should fine a great deal on a nice 6ft tank...good luck!

I'll second the 6+ foot tank size. Just not enough swimming room for a full grown Oscar in a 4 foot tank, especially 2 of them.
