a juvie..yes...adult wouldn't be adviseable. Need at least a 125 gallon for a single adult Butti...imo
Butti's can get up to 14"-16". A 55 gallon is what? 12" deep...so no, a 55 gal won't work for an adult.
I had a 12 incher in a 55gal, it was fine... Plenty of room... However, the tank was really dull because I had no decor... I would have to say a 90 gal would be perfect.. for one butti
