In a few months I plan on getting my first ever fish tanks and I'm thinking of getting A pair of five star generals. The problem is I can hardly find any info about the needs of the fish. I don't know if they will do fine as a pair or if they need more and I have no idea if the 55g tank I might get will be big enough for a pair of them can yall help?

General care of these is about the same as any American cichlid which are more common for info. Longterm these would do best in a 75 gallon or larger imo. I believe they are available wild caught on Wetspot right now as well as the more rare cousin, hemichromis frempongi.
