i noticed a lot of members have black rays,i'm pretty interested in getting either leopoldi or henlei is a 180 gallon tank sufficient what are the acceptable water parameters ph wise are there other types you recommend over these--scobina has been mentioned as being the most reasonably sized ray [define reasonable LOL]

Black Rays rock!! I love blacks.. dont have much success with Leos though
but blacks generally said to be hardy and active than most rays.

180 will last you a couple of years.. but you will eventually have to upgrade.
PH is a variable with rays.. as long as you acclimate properly, they can tolerate
a wide variety of PH.

Just keep an eye out for your Ammonia and Nitrates... ammonia must be at zero
and Nitrates must be as low as possible.. i keep mine below 40 as my tap has nitrates. .

I would suggest that you go as big as possible as early as possible; it saves you the headache of all of the upgrades later.
