Whats the ideal MININUM tank size for breeding rays ? Also deminsions

Of course the bigger the better

I hate speaking in terms of minimum. Don't ever do anything to the minimum in life.

They could probably grow and breed in a 6x3 or 8x3 tank, but they would soon outgrow that. You really need 4' of front to back width for lifelong housing and breeding

I agree with diesel. I would think a nice big pond would be great for a ray. If you have the space go for that. I know a lot of successful breeders have that kind of setup.

They usually breed between 13-16" but they keep growing. What are you going to do when the female is 25" across and 36" long?

I do agree with you guys that bigger is always better. Im planning to buy some fiberglass tanks in the future for rays in my garage. Ideally yes i want the biggest but just getting ideas on what is practical for the setup

8'×8'×24-30" would be great. You'll want to have easy access to at least 3 sides of the tank, and have a divider on hand to seperate the pregnant female so she doesn't get beat up and stressed constantly. A set up like that would be ideal
