Tank Size for Clown Loaches

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I split the post as an individual thread for you.:)

I'd go with 75g as the minimum to allocate space for them to develop properly.

I'd say at least a 4' tank like a 55-90 to start out, but you will need to upgrade eventually. They are slow growers and should be fine in a 75 gallon for years, but if kept properly they should eventually hit 10" or more by which time they should have a much larger tank.

It also depends on the size of the shoal. Think 4-5 five inchers would be fine in a 75g. Where a larger shoal of 5" would need a bigger tank.

How big are they now? Got any pics?

Mine still have years until they outgrow my 150, but I can't wait for them to be monsters
