I have a 3'' Jardini in a 55 gallon so it can gain some size. I want to know if a 125 will house a Jardini or should I get a 210 to put it in. My 125 is currently set up with different types of Rainbows but I could move them to another tank, if it will house the Jardini, thanks for any help.

P.S. any tips on Jardinis would be great, had a black arowana for 3 years but this guys seem pretty different.

Go with a 210. The wider the better though...

Somthing with more than 2ft width would be great.

Jardini can be really aggressive, so watch that! They can also be very skittish so make sure the tank is secure. Other than that they are pretty similar to every other aro. Not hard to look after at all.

skittish is right..mine still has hissy fits...but yeh steve's right the wider the tank the better i'm currently getn an glazier to build me a 5 x2.5x2 and that wil house my jardini, jags and hopefully in the near future 2 dats n 2 p.bass :)

It will be fine in the 55 till it gets about 10" then it will need a larger tank.
When they can't swim and turn easily they can get curled gills. Try to avoid feeder fish and crickets go with frozen shrimp and/or pellets.

like the other poster said there are a lot of experts here spend some time reading others experiences and you will learn what to expect.

I don't think many people have had calm nonaggressive jardinis. I've been bit dozens of times.

I kept more than a dozen jardini and when small they are aggressive to their own species at sub adult they began their aggression to all tank mates. Some are abit more laid back than others but generally they are aggressive. Seldomly do you find a jardini that is not aggressive I have yet seen one.

Im have mine in a 120 gal but just bought a new tank 78x30x24. the bigger the better for sure
