Hey guys how long will it take 2 jardini to outgrow a partitioned tank? It is a 47 gallon tank and the jardini's are now nearly 5 inches and they have grown an inch since i got them 6 weeks ago? I want to know the maximum size the jardinis should be for me to change the tank.

You might have another 6 months depending on growth rate. They'll probably start hating each other in the near future so keep an eye on them.

they can grow to more than 2', and their growth rate isn't slow. i had mine around 5" a yr ago, and now it's pushing 15", u do the math. i have a 85g, 72"x15"x18", the depth is 15"...and since soon, it'll be too narrow for my jar, i bought a 180g, 6'x2'x2'. da oughtta do it!

Thanks a lot but I am asking for their maximum length when I HAVE to change the tank because a 180 gallon here costs more than $800 (it comes with everything of course), I can get one custom made at a glass shop and buy the light, filter, table etc. separately and that would be far cheaper, The problem is I do not think it would be lined with plastic ( probably will be made of pure glass) as my current one and I do not think it would be as stable. With the partition they have about 50cm of the tank each right now (1 metre total). My tank is a sun-sun HRC-1040B and its specs are :

First thing you should do is get rid of one of the jardini, they will never be able to co-exist in the same tank. This will also give you a few more months before having to move to the 180 gallon.

As it is right now you are basically keeping 5" jars in a 24 gallon tank, which is crazy.
