Tank size for texas

hey, my little bro is now looking at texas cichlids (god i wish he would make up his mind) . anyways, what size tank will he need. the guy at my lfs says a 30 gallon, would this be ok?

but that is with no tank mates

Yeah, absolute bare minimum and he'll not be a happy fish. 75g would be better. Have you seen a full grown Texas???

are they over-aggressive to non-cichlids? (plecos, bala sharks, bichirs etc.)

yes absoulte bare min is 55, 75 is much better, 30 gal is not ok in anyway
