Can you Have a Flowerhorn in a 40 gallon tank Or it has to be biger?

how big can a flowerhorn get? Im Moving into apartment and i dont think they wuld let me have that big of a tank. how fast do they grow .. i just got into the flowerhorn thing im more of a payara And AFT anything with teeth..

I think that would be okay for awhile but you would need yo upgrade to a bigger tank oneday. I think that a full grown FH needs around 75g to thrive.

Flowerhorns grow pretty quickly, average size is probably around 12". Your better off keepin a flowerhorn in a 55 than an ATF.

lol 90's give cichlids no more room than 75's cichlids don't really care for heigth.

same as oscars 1 in a 55 that measures 48x15x18 lxwxh minimum,
75g for one adult recomended. for 2 a 125g min.

Like its alreayd been said ive seen quite a few specimins on here around 12-14", so id say a minium of a 4x2x2 for a full grown adult to keep it happy.
