you could probably get a year... a year and a half. Small Pbass grow about an inch a month. Faster/slower depending how much and what you feed them....

I have 2 pbass in a 125, and I will have to move them into a bigger tank probably within a year.

I agree. Mine seems to grow weekly. Not only in length, but girth as well. Its amazing how fast they grow when fed well.

will a 180 gal house atleast 3 ocelaris for life? if not how many pbass for life? that is the biggest tank that I can fit in my apartment.

Yes, you could possibly keep 3 occelaris in a 180 for their entire life. It would be a little tight when they hit the 18 - 24" mark, but I've seen it done. Obviously a bigger tank would be better, but I still believe it could be done.
