Piranhas mostly patroll bottom to mid range, right to left (or vice versa), not so much south and north. The dimensions on that is 36, 15, 30? It's not the best but you could do worse.

Your best bet when upgrading to a new tank will be to look for something with a footprint of 48" x 18".
Some of the larger growing species will require larger quarters then that after time (even more so when dealing with more then one fish) but a 48x18 is an excellent tank footprint for the majority of species of piranha.
