I have a 2 foot lungfish in with an oscar in a 85 gallon tank. What size tank should I get so the lungfish could live in it for a while?
thanks

Which species?

African may eventually take out the oscar as they will randomly attack tankmates and are best kept alone. assuming you most likely have Protopterus annectens (west African lungfish), i would go with a 125-180g tank. they don't need a ton of swimming room, but should be able to at least stretch out. a 180g should house the fish for life, 120g wide (2' wide tank) should house it for many years. good luck--

I keep african lungfish and presently have a 30" plus in a 180 and really suggest you think bigger than 180 long term. as soon as a bigger tank frees up mine will be moved to it.

I had my old african lungfish in a 540gt for a few years an it seemed just OK. He was very thick and was a little over 40".
