I have a 16" olocellaris and a 12" temensis in a 7'x2.5'x2' tank that were going to be moved into a 8'x2.5'x2.5' but because of the layout of the lounge that may have to change to a 9'x2.5'x2'. Would they be ok in a 2' wide tank when they get bigger?

Nope, it better to have at least 2.5 ft when they get bigger.

2.5 wide would deffinatley be a lot better.

Better than the extra height.

Ok, the options have changed again. The tank can be either 11'L x 30"W x 33"H or a 9'L x 34"W x 38" H. What do you think?

The wider the better, but you dont want to go too deep...pain in the ass to clean just like Trust mentioned!

Not bothered on the height side of it, as both tanks are a nice height. I cant decide on the other diamentions, what would be better for the fish?

In that case I would probably go the 11' tank.
