I am thinking about getting back into large cichlids again. I was planning on growing out some festae. One of the stores near me has a real nice small rose queen. If the fish tolerate each other, about what size tank am I looking at to house a festae, rose queen, and probably one more comparable sized cichlid? Thanks

When I was looking at stock for my 150g I looked at Festae, common consensus here was at least a 240g for one with other fish, or 125/150g for a single or pair.

I usually never have less than 4 cichilds-spreads aggression. However, with dithers and a large enough tank could work.
Festae
Rose Queen
Silver Dollars
Tin Foil Barbs
180-240 gallon

The bioload shouldn't be a big issue. Compatibility is the key.... If they get along, a mid-sized tank (e.g. 125) should be ok. If they really hate each other, going up to 180/220 probably won't help too much.

My motto is I always get the biggest I can get such in case I want to increase later.
